Jaydens Room

It has been a while

I am today 36 weeks pregnant.  It has been since March since I wrote about my baby.  I am going to try and write as much as I can about what has happened since then.  At the end of May we found out we are having a boy, we found out during our fetal echo of his heart.  Found out he also has a very strong and healthy heart.  Anyway we are naming him Jayden Brandon Garland.  Jayden because we really liked the name and Brandon after my middle name.
In June we started our nursery and painted it caribbean blue, luckly we already had that color in the garage from when last time we was going to paint but was too lazy to do it.  Then the week after that Shawn put together the crib and the changing table.  It didn't tale very long and I think he did a great job with it.  Then we put our glider on layway at Burlington coat factory.  It was the best priced glier and the most comfortable glider we found and it ws the last one in stock.
July not much really happend except the unbearable heat.  We had 100 degree days and it felt like I was melting.  I also got up all the baby clothes and started washing them.  Some of Shawn's co-workers sent us a lot of baby clothes and a bassinet.  I think that was really nice of them to do that.
August I am around 32 weeks pregnant and the drs started seeing me about 2 to 3 times a week.  Mostly they are doing NST's that is called a nonstress test.  They test to see what the baby's heartrate and movement is doing.  He has been doing good at most of the NST's.  He does like to move around a lot and there are somedays I have to drink ice cold water during the NST to make him move.  Last weekend we finally paid off the glider and finished the room.  We did a sailboat theme and really like it.  We think it is going to be a really calming room for Jayden to grow up in.  This past weekend we had hurricance Irene.  It wasn'tr too bad, we just got rain and wind off it and later that night our street looked like a river.  The water was gone by the next day.
That has been the pregnancy in a nutshell I really did wanted to write more about it during the whole time.  I am not very good at writing down my most internal thoughts during this process.

new sensations

I think I felt the baby kick today.  I felt it twice this morning so far.  I know its not gas lol I know what that feels like.  It felt like something hitting me from inside under my belly button.  It was just weird like something just punched me or kicked me.  It is proof that this little baby is there and growing everyday.

my first blog

Hi there everyone that see this blog.  I am writing about my journey becoming a mom.  This is mainly for family and friends to see because we are a Military family and live far away from everybody.  I am also type 1 diabetic and considered high risk during this pregnancy.   I am currently 14 weeks pregnant and in my second trimester.  We are nicknaming the baby Peanut because we have no idea if its a he or she yet.  I also don't want to call it  a it or something else because it is a baby there and it should have a cute name until we know if its a boy or girl.   I don't want people to miss out on our baby and I am trying to include everyone the best that I can being that we are so far away.  I will post as many updates as I can about Peanut.
